Today we celebrate Webmaster Day!

404 - a holiday for the webmaster yes or no, let's look into this issue together with ATLA GROUP

Do you know why Webmaster's Day is celebrated annually on April 4 all over the world? The fact is that the date April 4 in numerical terms - 4.04 - immediately suggests a 404 error. Who among us has not seen this inscription: "Page not found"? Besides, this date coincides with International Internet Day?🌏

Do you know who coined the term "webmaster" - it was the American developer Tim Bernes-Lee. Tim first used it in his book, The Online Hypertext Style Guide. Back in 1992, only those specialists who created websites were called webmasters. Now this concept is much broader: it unites not only web layout masters, but also system administrators, moderators and content managers, technical support "rescuers", Internet advertisers, copywriters and many other code and keyboard knights?🤟

Often a webmaster combines the functions of several specialists. Often there are layout designers - people who are responsible for the beauty and coherence of visual elements. “System administrators” and IT support workers can also be called berries in the same field: the powers of the former are wider, but they have a lot of overlapping tasks.

Content managers work closely with copywriters, web writers, and SEO optimizers. The authors create texts and scripts, SEO specialists monitor the compliance of articles with the requirements of search engines, and managers responsible for the content develop a promotion strategy and direct the energy of the first two in the right direction. And although they all have little relation to programming, they are also rightfully called webmasters?‍?👨💻

So, on behalf of the ATLA GROUP team, we wish every webmaster less HTTP 404 and a maximum of HTTP 200/304 when accessing the site and all those who create and fill Internet resources, as well as various corporate applications. If you are already in their ranks - Congratulations!
